Hej! Mitt namn är Lova och jag läser sista året på Beckmans Designhögskola, programmet Visuell Kommunikation. Just nu jobbar jag på mitt examensarbete som kommer att bli en pocketbok formgiven av mig på ett utmanande sätt.
Boken är en spelbok (se referens, Fighting Fantasy) som tar avstamp ur kvantfysiska teorier och behandlar ämnen som verklighet, drömmar, affirmation, intention och dess samband till ens jag. Boken har målet att inspirera läsaren till att vara sitt eget livs författare och skapa sin egen verklighet. Bokens utformning innehåller endast typografi, inspirerat av konkret poesi, och typografins sättning och form styrs handlingen på sidorna. I spelboken är man som läsare huvudkaraktären och kan skriva, måla och forma berättelsen medans man läser.
En tydlig referens för tonen på boken är en Liftares Guide till Galaxen!
Jag har till berättelsen tänkt använda mig av slumpade teman för att bygga händelser och tänker att det inte måste vara helt kronologiskt eller hålla ihop, både så det blir enklare för mig som nybörjare att skriva, samt för att kunna bjuda in andra att skriva gästkapitel! Att läsa boken skall kännas som att tänka på rymden, det skall kännas som att det finns oändliga möjligheter men att man också aldrig når fram.
Jag söker nu författare som är intresserade av att samarbeta med mig för bokens inlaga och skriva gästkapitel! Om du tycker detta projekt låter intressant och skulle vilja skriva ett gästkapitel i boken får du gärna kontakta mig så kan jag skicka över lite material att förhålla sig till. (Kapitlens längd bestämmer du helt och hållet.)
Jag vill flagga för att det är väldigt kort deadline och jag behöver färdigställa boken redan i början av maj. Så samarbetet skulle löpa from nu tom sista april.
Obs! Boken skrivs på engelska för att höra hemma i hyllan bredvid sina referenser. Skulle det vara ett hinder för dig att skriva på engelska men ändå vill bidra kan du skriva ett svenskt kapitel jag sedan översätter! Engelskan kommer att korrläsas i efterhand.
Som tack får du ett exemplar av boken samt blir tackad i bokens kolofon, på utställningen 20-25 Maj, på min sida på Beckmans examenswebb och i Beckmans sociala medier (om du vill såklart).
Bilderna nedan visar ”Anmärkning till läsaren”. Det är introduktionen till boken som etablerar berättaren (du som författare) och kärnan i boken, att läsaren är huvudkaraktären och kommer att kunna interagera och forma boken när den utvecklas.

Hey! My name is Lova and I am studying my last year at Beckmans College of Design, Visual Communication. Right now I’m working on my graduation project which will be a paperback book designed by me in a challenging way.
The book is a gamebook (see reference, Fighting Fantasy) that is based on quantum physical theories and deals with topics such as reality, dreams, affirmation, intention and its connection to self. The book aims to inspire the reader to be the author of their own life and create their own reality. The book's design contains only typography, inspired by concrete poetry, and the form of the typography is controlled by the plot on the pages. In the gamebook, you as a reader is the main character and can write, paint and shape the story while reading.
A clear reference for the tone of the book is a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!
For the story, I intend to use random themes to build events and have decided that it doesn’t have to be completely chronological or stick together, both so it will be easier for me as a beginner to write, and to be able to invite others to write guest chapters! Reading the book should feel like thinking about space, it should feel like there are endless possibilities but that you also never reach the end of it.
I am now looking for authors who are interested in collaborating with me for the book's plot and write guest chapters! If you think this project sounds interesting and would like to write a guest chapter in the book, feel free to contact me so I can send over some material to have in mind. (You decide the length of the chapter entirely.)
It is a very short deadline and I need to complete the book at the beginning of May already. So the collaboration would run from now until the end of April.
Note! The book is written in English to belong on the shelf next to its references. Should it be an obstacle for you to write in English but still want to contribute, you can write a Swedish chapter that I then translate! (The English grammar will be checked by others).
As a thank you, you will receive a copy of the book and will be thanked in the book's colophon, at the exhibition 20-25th of May, on my page on Beckman's exhibition website and in Beckman's social media (if you would like to of course).
The pictures below show the “Note to the reader”. It’s the intro to the book that establish the narrator (you as a writer) and the core of the book, that the reader is the main charachter and will be able to interact and shape the book as it unfolds.
The pages also show how the design is inspired by concrete poetry, and will be shaped according to the events in the book.
